Jeanette Howard- Founder and Pitching
Instructor
Explosive Fastpitch was founded by Jeanette (Brezina) Howard in January 2009. She has a passion
for fastpitch softball and enjoys giving back to the young female athletes. Jeanette played four years of softball as
the starting pitcher for Baldwin Wallace College. She graduated in 2005, earning her bachelors degree. While at
Baldwin Wallace she earned a spot as the first-team all OAC player and was a two time captain for her team. Jeanette
has been teaching private pitching lessons and clinics for 8+ years and has coached over 200 students in Northeast, Ohio.
She began her coaching career 7 years ago when she founded the 12U Cleveland Wildcats travel team-and led them to win
the 2005 Super World Series in Peoria, IL. She is currently in her sixth year as the Head Softball Coach for Strongsville
High School in Northeast, Ohio. In 2007, she led the Mustangs to the Regional Final game and was named Cuyahoga County
coach of the year.

Dana
Armbruster- Pitching Instructor Dana brings over
13 years of playing experience and 5 years of coaching experience to Explosive Fastpitch. She played 4 years at Strongsville
High School, 2 years at Cuyahoga Community College, and completed her playing career at Ursuline College while earning
a bachelors degree. Throughout her collegiate softball career, Dana led her team to 4 Regional playoff games while
placing 6th in the National Tournament. Dana started her coaching career at Cleveland State University in
2007 and moved on in 2008 as the pitching coach at Magnificat high school.
Kasey Whitehead Reis- Pitching/Hitting
Instructor Kasey
brings a great wealth of knowledge and experience to Explosive Fastpitch. She was a standout player in the state
of Georgia where she was a three time high school All-American and Nike Player of the year. Kasey
went on to play collegiate softball at the University of Alabama as well as Mississippi State where she graduate
with her Bachelors of Science in 2003. In 2004 , she began her collegiate coaching career at Mississippi State
University and went on to coach at Heritage Academy, and also North Greenville University. Kasey was
also a pitcher for the Akron Racer's, a National Professional Fastpitch team here in Akron, Ohio in 2004 and
2009. She has currently been teaching private and group softball clinics throughout the state of Ohio.
Katrina Resek- Slapping/Fielding
Instructor Katrina is currently in her 2nd year
as the starting shortstop at Baldwin Wallace College. In highschool she ranked first team all conference for the Pioneer
Conference in 2006 and 2007 and was the Sun Star 'All-Sun' player. She holds the 2007 Strongsville High School
record for hits, on base percentage, sacrifices, innings played, and runs scored. Academicallly, she graduated in the
top 15 % of her class. Katrina has been involved with conducting clinics and private instruction for the past 3 years.
Sam Swineford- Pitching Instructor She was a 4 year letterman at Mapleton
High School in Ashland, Ohio where she was a standout pitcher/2nd baseman. She was a two-time all conference
player of the year and then went on to play collegiate softball at Baldwin Wallace College. She started her coaching
career two years ago with a 12U team and has been teaching pitching lessons since then. She is currently
the Assistant JV coach at Strongsville High School.
